Hydrocodone + homatropine oral is a combination antitussive (cough suppressant) medication used to treat coughing in dogs. Its use is off label in veterinary medicine. Exenatide comes in an injectable immediate-release and extended-release forms – the forms are not interchangeable.

Dantrolene is a muscle relaxant used to help relax the urinary tract and improve urine flow in cats and dogs. It has also been used to help prevent muscle contractions caused by certain toxicities in dogs and malignant hyperthermia in miniature pigs and dogs. It is used off label (extra label) in veterinary medicine. Dantrolene comes in capsule and injectable forms.

Topical deltamethrin/deltamethrin combination products (brand names PetArmor®, Sentry®, Zodiac®, others) are synthetic pyrethroid insecticides used to repel mosquitoes and kill fleas and ticks on dogs older than 12 weeks of age for up to 6 months. Products may be also used to repel and kill sandflies. Never use in cats or aquatic species. Deltamethrin/deltamethrin combination products come in an impregnated collar form.

Benzonatate is an antitussive (cough suppressant) medication used to treat coughing in dogs. It is used off label (extra label) in veterinary medicine. Benzonatate comes in capsules that must be given whole. Use with caution as there is a high potential for toxicity and overdose.

Psyllium fiber capsules (brand name Vetasyl®) are fiber supplements used in cats and dogs to help promote bowel health. Vetasyl contains psyllium seed husks and barley malt extract powder contained in gelatin capsules.

Sulfadimethoxine + ormetoprim (brand name Primor®) is a combination antibiotic used to treat bacterial skin and soft tissue infections in dogs. It may be used off label in other cases. Sulfadimethoxine + ormetoprim comes in tablet form that may be compounded into liquid.

Ilunocitinib (brand name Zenrelia®) is a medication used to control pruritus (itching) associated with allergic dermatitis and control of atopic dermatitis in dogs at least 12 months of age that are up-to-date on vaccinations. It is labeled for use in dogs only. Ilunocitinib comes in tablet form.

Fipronil with s-methoprene and pyriproxyfen, topical (brand name Frontline® Gold), is a medication used to treat and control fleas and ticks in dogs and puppies 8 weeks of age and older, and to control fleas, ticks, and chewing lice in cats and kittens 8 weeks of age and older and weighing at least 1.36 kg (3 lb). It may be used to treat sarcoptic mange in dogs and cats, as well as chewing lice in dogs.
