Covid-19 Information

REVELSTOKE VETERINARY CLINIC SERVICES DURING COVID-19 CRISIS

During the COVID-19 crisis the Revelstoke Veterinary Clinic is operating under a restricted service protocol to ensure continued access to essential veterinary services while minimizing risk to the public, our clients and our staff.

At this time, we are avoiding all direct contact between our staff and the public.

Most initial consults can be best accomplished through our new telemedicine service where you will be video-linked with one of our veterinarians through your phone or computer. In many cases, concerns can be resolved without requiring an in-clinic visit. The veterinarian may prescribe medications that can be picked up at the clinic or delivered to your home.

In cases where the veterinarian determines an in-clinic visit is needed, we will arrange an appointment time, and the initial telemedicine charges will be applied to the in-clinic exam fee (ie. the total charge is only the in-clinic exam fee).

When you arrive for an in-clinic appointment please remain in your vehicle and call reception 250.837.4530 or text 250.814.3306 – we will direct you to secure your pet in the fenced area outside the front door immediately before we are ready to bring them in for their exam or procedure.

EMERGENCIES

Life-threatening emergencies will be seen immediately during clinic open-hours. Please call our reception number and you will be directed for immediate intake at the clinic.

Due to our currently limited operational level, emergencies requiring highly-involved or surgical care may be referred to Fairfield Animal Hospital in Kelowna (250.860.6550)

Emergencies occurring outside our open-hours, including all-day Wednesday, should proceed directly to Fairfield Animal Hospital in Kelowna.

NON-URGENT CASES

At this time, we are requesting that all non-urgent concerns or appointments, such as vaccine boosters and wellness checks, be deferred until public health directives on social distancing and business operations have eased.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during this difficult time.
