As a new client of the Revelstoke Veterinary Clinic, you can expect our full attention to your pets’ needs and to always be treated with courtesy and respect. We enjoy meeting and getting to know our clients and patients and recognize the importance of the family bonds you share.
When you arrive for your appointment, our reception staff will greet you and confirm the reason for your visit. You will then be seen into an examination room as soon as one is available. It is always our goal to see clients and patients promptly at their scheduled appointment time, however there may be times where the unexpected creates delays.
Once in the exam room, you will start with a veterinary assistant who will take a history and gather some preliminary information for the doctor. Next, the doctor will examine your pet, discuss your concerns and plan further diagnostics or treatment as necessary, which may be undertaken at the time of your visit or scheduled for another visit. We’d like to emphasize that we are always open to whatever questions you may have — we want to make sure that you’re completely comfortable with the information we’re providing, the decisions made, and the care that is given.
Once you’re finished with the vet, you will have some more time with the assistant who can provide you with further information and resources, as well as answer your questions and confirm follow-up plans. Finally, a receptionist can schedule your next visit, dispense prescriptions, help you with food and other over-the-counter purchases, and attend to your invoice.
